Precision graphite milling is accomplished by our Mikron HSM 400. This Swiss machine utilizes a Heidenhain ITNC 530 CNC controller. It has a spindle speed of 42,000 RPM and can hold 68 different cutters in it's automatic tool changing system. Carbide cutters are cooled by either oil mist or water soluble fluid depending upon the application.

The specialty table is fully enclosed in a Donaldson-Torit vacuum system. An integrated pallet changer is fed by our Erowa Robotic System. Workpieces mounted on precision electrode holders or pallets can be interchanged sequentially. The machine, tool changer and robotic system can be fully programmed to run unattended through evenings and weekends.
